NYFW BACKSTAGE BEAUTY: MISHA NONOO S/S 15

Ahhh, normcore. The trend that isn’t a trend, that, quite ironically, is now trending.

Yes, the once considered average “I-just-roll-out-of-bed-and-walk-down-the-street-looking-like-this-after-yoga” hair style is in full force.

And, at Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week New York this week, Misha Nonoo S/S 15 led the disheveled hair charge.

“For Misha’s show, we were inspired by the ’90s and that edgy, supermodel style,” says Matthew Curtis, TRESemmé Global Stylist. “We created a modern looking wave that was very sleek at the root to give it a bit of sharpness while complementing this with lots of texture at the base to create a touch of romance and beautiful movement.” Curtis also adds the whole idea is not to look “done”.

Consider this hair trend to be every lazy girl’s dream (mine included).

GET THE MISHA NONOO S/S 15 HAIR LOOK:

1. Start by parting the hair on the side and apply TRESemmé Extra Control Styling Mousse at the roots.

2. Firmly brush down on the roots and dry with a hair dryer to ensure the hair lays flat.

3. Next, spray TRESemmé Instant Refresh Dry Shampoo – this will give the hair some grit.

4. Then, take large sections of the hair and using a curling tong, start at the front and curl each section. Ensure you only wrap the hair around once the vertically-placed tong.

5. Rake your hands through the hair, keeping the top section smooth.

6. Finish the look by tucking the hair on one side behind the ear and spray all over with TRESemmé Extra Hold Salon Finish Hair Spray.
