AT HOME WITH MIKEY AYOUBI

Impeccably renovated and timelessly furnished, we stepped inside celebrity stylist Mikey Ayoubi’s designer digs for the latest issue of Gritty Pretty magazine.

With its vast ceilings and expensive detailing, there’s an air of stately elegance to this spacious abode. It’s no surprise knowing the apartment is home to renowned fashion stylist Ayoubi, and prominent architect photographer Tom Ferguson. Housed in a 101-year old building in Darlinghurst, on the fringe of Sydney’s CBD, this light-filled apartment is a place of calm above the bustling streets below.

“What makes our home special is that we have an incredible space to work with so decorating is easy,” says Ayoubi.

The abundance of natural light and generous floorplan also affords Ayoubi the luxury of running his studio from home. “Clients are naturally nervous about making wardrobe decisions so having fittings and meetings in the home makes the entire process feel extra personal and honest,” he explains.

He adds: “My office has good flow to it, which is important when I have racks for clothing and clients in for fittings.”
