This excellent post is in collaboration with Dior.
In 2009, I was working as Beauty Editor at FAMOUS magazine. Beyonce’s Single Ladies was top of the charts, Gary Pepper Vintage and Tuula had just launched into the stratosphere; and so too had Dior Lip Glow—a minty-fresh lip balm that was dissimilar to other lip colours.
How so? The formula showcased unique technology automatically adjusting to your skin’s pH level, releasing the active ingredient and creating your own custom shade. “Genius!”, I thought.
This month, the French fashion house is celebrating the iconic lip collection with the introduction of six new shades (four of which come in two new finishes): two new shades in the original finish (007 raspberry, 008 ultra-pink), two matte shades (101 pink matte, 102 raspberry matte) and two holographic colours (009 holo purple, 010 holo pink) that are iridescent. Tried and tested by yours truly, these lips colours are also enriched with moisturising mango and Egyptian cucumber seed oil.
Consider Dior Lip Glow for you if:
a) you love lipstick but rarely wear it because you have dry lips;
b) you like the idea of matte lipstick but hate the life being sucked out of your lips feeling; and
c) you’re clever (which you are) and know what’s good (which you do).
Well, what are you waiting for? Let’s glow!
