Rich colours, heritage features and quality finishes steal the show at this renowned Australian fashion stylist’s home.
If you’re a fan of colour, timeless designs and bold statements, then get ready to fall madly in love with Jess Pecoraro’s home in Sydney’s East.
The renowned fashion and celebrity stylist has become famed for her memorable and show-stopping ensembles – which have been worn by some of the country’s biggest stars from Jesinta Campbell to Georgia Fowler – and the same description is apt to label her new-ish Paddington home.
Pecoraro, 29, purchased the charming three-bedroom, three-bathroom terrace one and a half years ago after stumbling upon it purely by chance. “We weren’t looking in this area and after countless open homes, our agent took us through one night and I just fell in love with it right away,” she explains. Just two weeks after moving in, they moved straight back out to embark on renovations.
During the renovation, Pecoraro didn’t play it safe – while the walls are crisp white and the floors are timber, that’s where the predictability ends. She opted for a candy pink-tiled bathroom, emerald kitchen cabinets that are adorned with gold handles, colourful artwork and statement furnishings. To complement the bold and playful finishes, Pecoraro selected natural materials and timeless styles – picture wall panelling, marble surfaces, oak flooring and terrazzo tiles – to give the home a classic feel.
The result? A warm and welcoming abode that Pecoraro describes as “classic with a contemporary twist” and a space that proves her interior style is just as impressive as her fashion style.
While the interior is what Pinterest board dreams are made of, it’s also the neighbourhood that Pecoraro and her family love about the property. “I love that I can walk out the door and grab a coffee, go for dinner or have a shop all within walking distance,” she says.
And as one of the country’s top fashion stylists, it’s unsurprising that her wardrobe is one of the home’s most enviable spaces – think rack after rack (after rack) of garments and row after row of shoes, topped on a long line of storage cupboards that are brimming with accessories. We’ll move in for both the interior and the wardrobe, thanks.
