BLUE JEAN BABY

Posted in Style on July 15, 2014 by

If you’ve been waiting for a legitimate reason to wear denim on denim since, well, Justin and Britney stepped out in that outfit, then here’s one: Jeans for Genes Day.

Jeans for Genes is an Australian charity, which raises funds to help support the vital work of Children’s Research Medical Institute (CMRI) for research into birth defects and diseases such as cancer and epilepsy. This selfless work is in the aim that the horrifying statistic of 1 in 20 Aussie kids born with a birth defect or genetic disease, can be lowered.

But, this year is special for another reason…

On Friday August 1st 2014, Jeans for Genes turns 21! And to celebrate, I’ve teamed up with 20 others as an official ambassador to help put this important cause in the spotlight.

From Friday 11th July – August 1st, some of Australia’s top style icons will be sharing their take on the blue jean trend. Speaking of which, what do you think of my take on double denim?  You can check out some of the other bloggers’ outfits here or follow the #21DaysofJ4G hash tag on social media.

On August 1st National Jeans for Genes Day, please join me in wearing your denim jeans and help to raise much-needed funds for Australian children.

It can be as simple as forgoing your morning coffee money – because quite simply, every child deserves the opportunity to live a long and healthy life.

You can donate here.
